The Annual Meeting of Friends of Mahaska County Conservation is scheduled for Monday, April 22, 2019, at the Environmental Learning Center at Caldwell Park east of Oskaloosa on Hwy 92. A complimentary meal provided by Friends will be served at 6:30 pm followed by the meeting. The featured speaker is Steve Dixon, President of the Mahaska County Conservation Board. He will update us all on the “Future Plans for Caldwell Park”.
This will be followed by Pete Eyheralde, Ph.D., Asst. Prof. of Biology at WPU, who will do a Powerpoint display presentation about exhibits for the Environmental Learning Center.
Any one who has an interest in nature and conservation is invited to attend.
There will be a raffle for four different packages:
a Turkey Hunting Package,
a Walleye Fishing Package,
a Bird Watching/Feeding Package
and a “Collectibles” Package provided by Linda Fox.
Each of the raffle packages are worth $75.00 or more.
Tickets are $5.00 for a single ticket or 6 tickets for $20.00.
